Need a couples getaway? Vacation time is sometimes hard to get so when you do get it, you want to make the most of it and get away from it all! The first step is to decide to go on a vacation with that special someone. Now you are halfway there for your getaway. Next you need to know when and where to travel to. No problem – you’ve come to the right place!
In our opinion, a perfect couples getaway includes some active and relaxation time. You want to relax by the pool and drink a fruity drink but you want to snorkel too. You want to hit the slopes and then be rewarded with that dip in the hot tub. You want to go to Italy for the first time, get lost in Venice’s backstreets and then sip wine in Tuscany. (For Europe trips, check out Allison’s book Romantic Weekends in Europe for European getaways.)
We specialize in couples getaways and for close to 10 years we have sent couples away for that Trip of a Lifetime. We have planned countless honeymoons, anniversary trips, and celebration trips (and let’s face it – you don’t need an excuse to take a romantic getaway) There are some decisions to make and we know all the right questions to ask. After all, you don’t want to cancel your trip and lose a lot of money because you planned a trip during hurricane season and didn’t get travel insurance.
Whether you want an all inclusive resort, a private oasis with no phones or a quick getaway for a night, we listen to your needs to ensure you take a Trip of a Lifetime. The perfect vacation for you should be tailored to your needs and wants.
Romantic Getaway Recommendations:
Four Seasons Nevis – A beautiful remote resort where you can get away from it all! True to Four Seasons form, this luxury resort will not disappoint. Fly into St. Kitt’s and take a private ferry boat chartered by Four Seasons over to the resort.
Ocean House, Rhode Island – New to the AAA Five Diamond hotel list in 2012, the Ocean House’s unparalleled service is a breath of fresh air. The restaurant, spa and views are all amazing. Great for a night or weekend away in quintessential New England.
Kona Village Resort– a great Hawaiian getaway away from the hustle and bustle of Oahu and Maui. The resort is known for its barefoot luxury and each room is a private hale. It is very different and more intimate than its amazing neighbor, the Four Seasons Hualalai (which we highly recommend also), but each is its own distinctive resort.
The Villaggio Inn & Spa in Yountville is an adorable luxurious inn. Each room comes with 1 or 2 bottles of wine and the champagne breakfast is amazing! It is also in walking distance to Thomas Keller's French Laundry, and if you are lucky to get in (we recommend lunch), it will be a meal that you will remember forever!
So, whether you are ready to escape to remote Fiji, the beaches in the Caribbean, skiing in Colorado, a few days in Paris (check out my Romantic Weekends in Europe book) or a local weekend trip, we've done it all! It doesn’t matter if you are departing from the east or west coast and want a low key or high end getaway, Trips of a Lifetime has you covered! Its time to take that trip of a lifetime you’ve always wanted to!
